Adoris Gibbs

Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow at Brown’s Promise

Adoris Gibbs is an Equal Justice Works Legal Fellow at Brown’s Promise, where she works to advance education equity across Georgia. Her fellowship project focuses on evaluating Georgia’s school choice programs and helping ensure that students have equitable, constitutionally sound access to integrated, well-resourced public education. Adoris graduated from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2026. During law school, she worked with the First Amendment Clinic, served as a Legal Fellow in the Office of U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock in Washington, D.C., and gained experience with the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia.

Before law school, Adoris worked in marketing and communications. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University, graduating summa cum laude, and also competed in cross country and track and field. Her experiences across communications, government, and the law have shaped the perspective she brings to her work today. Outside of work, Adoris enjoys serving in her church and local community, spending time with family over good food and conversation, volunteering as a youth sports coach, and testing new recipes for sweet treats.
