Audrey Vila
Legal Fellow at Brown’s Promise
Audrey Vila is a Legal Fellow at Brown's Promise. She has a background in civil and criminal rights and a commitment to school desegregation. Audrey graduated magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 2026. She received the Susan Grant Desmarais Commencement Award for public service achievement and leadership, and the Lewis S. Gurwitz Award for selfless commitment to defending others. During law school, she served as Co-President of the Public Interest Law Foundation, participated in the Immigration Clinic, Defenders Clinic, and Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team, and interned at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia and Orleans Public Defenders.
Before law school, Audrey worked as a Mitigation Paralegal with North Carolina Prisoner Legal Services and as a Data Justice Fellow at the Wilson Center for Science and Justice at Duke Law.
Audrey graduated with Highest Distinction from Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy with a B.A. in Public Policy Studies and a minor in Political Science.
