Shelby Singleton
Fellow at the Southern Education Foundation
Shelby Singleton is the current Robert F. Kennedy '51 Public Service Fellow at the Southern Education Foundation (SEF) and is the incoming Lynn Walker Huntley Social Justice Fellow. Shelby graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2025. During law school, Shelby interned with the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division, as well as the NAACP-Legal Defense Fund. While attending UVA Law, she spent her time participating in the UVA Law Local and State Government Policy Clinic, as well as the International Human Rights Law Clinic. Both clinical experiences sharpened Shelby's skills in combining advocacy, community organizing, and the law, to serve marginalized groups. Before attending law school, Shelby attended George Washington University as a Posse Foundation Scholar, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Political Communication and graduating magna cum laude.
